French Lycee Voltaire School participates in HEPCA's FEEL program
In the past few days HEPCA conducted an environmental educational program for schoolchildren part of its established Future Egyptian Environmental Leaders (FEEL) program. 70 students aged 10-11 from the French Lycee Voltaire School, joined our program to learn about diving, the environment and HEPCA's efforts to protect the natural resources of the Red Sea. The students learned about the eco-system of the Red Sea, and the different key species that reside in it. They were also introduced to the world of diving as a way to appreciate the marine environment. They visited the famous dolphin house Samadai an environmental protectorate, which is managed by HEPCA, where they swam with the dolphins and learned the proper code of conduct for interacting with dolphins. They also visited the fishing village of Qulaan, where they interacted with the Ababda community and learned about the valuable mangrove species that grows in the area.
