Magawish island clean up with Marriott

in a good social and environmental initiative the staff of Marriott Hurghada Hotel organised an island clean up at Magawish island in cooperation with Hepca. The campaign comes as the second cooperation after the first campaign was done in Hurghada youth house beach the last month. We always ensure to participate and encourage such initiatives for its environmental importance as the Red Sea islands is one of our environmental treasures, not only for its beautiful nature but also for its ecological diversity as well as being a habitat for many wild and marine creatures in the surrounding waters. It’s also a place for nesting for the sea turtles and hosts millions of migratory birds each year. Due to the currents of the water and the flow of the tide a huge amount of glass and materials made of plastic arrives to the island shores which affects the marine life badly. the clean up was done in a positive atmosphere from all the participants and we have managed together to gather big amounts of solid wastes from the beach.
