New Delivery in Hurghada
Thursday saw the new delivery of 50 new bins for the Solid Waste Management department. The new bins will replace the plastic ones that have been stolen, vandalized, set on fire or used for water tanks, and a myriad of other uses other than the one they were intended for. The new bins are made of metal which makes then stronger – so less likely to suffer from mishandling or deliberate abuse, heavier – so far harder to relocate or remove, and they are also fire resistant. 100 of these new bins are already in place in Sekalla and El Dahar. The new ones will be placed in areas which currently are very sparely supplied and also will be used to replace the older plastic containers as they break or disappear. You will start to see them arriving at various locations around Hurghada this week.
