Petition against dolphinaria in Egypt
The current captivity of the dolphins in Hurghada is an unacceptable result of the dolphinarium industry not only in Egypt but everywhere in the world. This industry harms the captive dolphins and is also the reason, why dolphin slaughters in places like Taiji, Japan, can still be financed! Everyone, who has seen the documentary “The Cove”, has also seen the brutality with which the animals are beaten to death. We want to put an end to this industry in Egypt. The Red Sea houses enough dolphins; there is no need to imprison them for the sake of some profit-oriented investors! HEPCA now started a petition to completely abandon dolphinaria in Egypt. It is addressed to the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation and the Ministry of State for Environmental Affairs. We need your help to end holding dolphins in captivity! Please visit our petition under www.hepca.com/petition and give us your signature to fight dolphinaria! Dolphins have not been created to live in captivity, so let us do all we can to keep them, where they belong: the sea!
