Red Sea Dive Clean-Up
Glad to announce that the "Red Sea Dive Clean-Up" campaign organized by Ministry of Environment under the sponsorship of the "Live Green" and in collaboration with Chamber of Diving & Water Sports and the Red Sea Protectorates was successful in collecting 30 tons of Solid Waste garbage debris from Hurghada, Safaga, and Marsa Alam main marinas.
The 8th and last day of the initiative today was in Marsa Alam Marina for the second consecutive day where we managed to collect 6 tons of Solid waste with the help of 12 volunteers from the divers who live and work in the city along with HEPCA and CDWS diving teams, nonetheless, a beach cleanup was carried out by children from the community along with HEPCA's staff. All the collected garbage debris is transferred via HEPCA's compactors to our Solid Waste plants in Hurghada and Marsa Alam for sorting.
Many thanks to the Ministry of environment for organizing this initiative for our partners CDWS and RSPA for all the support and the collective work and efforts.
We would also like to thank all the volunteers from individual divers and for diving centers who helped with their teams and equipment and looking forward to more collaborations and interaction from the community for a healthy and a clean habitat for all of us.
