Stop looking away
The gloves came off and it is time to expose our indignation and publicly denounce aggressions towards Red Sea treasures committed by ignorant and second-rate divers. The photo to the right doesn’t need a comment. When there is no respect for our heritage, no education, no knowledge of all efforts an entire community is devoting for the protection of this region, when not even the tragic history of a wreck nor its being among the top dive sites worldwide can stop the stupidity of a few, then we have to take an action. We are sick and tired of those considering the Red Sea an underwater amusement park. We will condemn every single violation showing disrespect for our marine and terrestrial environments. We will point the finger at dive guides, divers, instructors, dive centres and whoever else shares the responsibilities of such ignorant behaviour. HEPCA is willing to bring up your voices and these facts will be illustrated to the Governor together with our suggested solutions and we call upon YOU to keep on resenting these situations and reporting them to us. We don’t need these divers, we don’t want them, we don’t deserve them. They are not welcome. We are the majority, it is time for all of us to rise up.
