Unforgettable World Environment Day with HEPCA!

On World Environment Day, HEPCA opened the doors of our research support center in Port Ghalib for a day full of excitement, learning, and environmental action. The celebration was an incredible opportunity to showcase our efforts in protecting the Red Sea and its marine life, and we were delighted to see such positive and enthusiastic participation from companies, organizations, and individuals.

The day’s activities included an insightful introduction to HEPCA's work in safeguarding the Red Sea. Visitors explored the Red Sea Wonders Museum, where they were amazed by the beauty and diversity of marine life. They also had the chance to witness the Tridacna reef restoration project, a crucial initiative for preserving the reef’s biodiversity.

A hike through the 18,000-year-old volcanic rift offered a unique glimpse into the region’s geological history, while a delicious lunch in a Bedouin tent provided a perfect blend of culture and cuisine. The day concluded with engaging activities focused on turtle conservation, led by Turtle Watch Egypt, where participants learned about the importance of protecting these ancient marine creatures.

We were thrilled to welcome several committed partners to this special day, including Turtle Watch Egypt, Sukari Gold Mine (Centamin), Hilton Marsa Alam Nubian Resort, Three Corners Equinox Beach Resort Marsa Alam, Three Corners Happy Life Beach Resort, The Three Corners Sea Beach Resort, Three Corners Fayrouz Plaza Beach Resort, and the Port Ghalib Administration.
