Admiral Ahmed Khaled, the commander of the Egyptian Navy Fleet in the Red Sea over the past years will be moving on to a new post. Upon his departure the HEPCA team would like to thank him and commend him for his valiant efforts in the field of conservation. Admiral Ahmed Khaled has played an essential role in the protection of the natural resources of the Red Sea, protecting Egypt’s environmental treasures, and as a result the protection of the future livelihood of the Red Sea community. Under his command navy patrols took it upon themselves to monitor environmental violations and were successful in halting a great deal of environmental destruction and ceasing countless violations. Admiral Ahmed Khaled will be truly missed here in the Red Sea. We wish him the best of luck at his new post.
